Camp Edventure More partners with the Exploratorium, the CA Academy of Science, the Museum of Children's Art and the YMCA to provide FUN hands-on science, art and recreation activities for kids aged 5-11. Locations in Marin, San Francisco and the East Bay. Camp Edventure Tech! Edventure Tech's middle school digital media arts camp features weekly sessions designed and staffed in partnership with the Bay Area's premier tech organizations, Zeum and the Bay Area Video Coalition. Entering 5th-9th grade campers work side-by-side with professionals in the field to create their Digital Music, Video, 2-D Comic or 3-D Clay Animation projects. Marin Horizon Summer Camp offers swimming, gymnastics and capoeira lessons, off-campus park walks, sports, arts and crafts, music and more for children ages three to eight. We feature a high teacher-to-student ratio for even the youngest campers! Teachers in the 3 to 5 yr old program are ECE specialists and all of our staff is year-round MHS staff! Swimming lessons every day for 4 and 5 yr old and Gymnastics classes every day for 3 yr olds. Six through 8 year olds take field trips every Friday to destinations such as Zeum, McNear's Beach, and the SF Zoo. They also have swimming lessons twice a week! We offer flexible scheduling, drop-in days, and daycare for busy parents. Camp Galileo combines top quality art, science and outdoor activities with fun camp traditions and dynamic staff to create an experience pre-kinder to entering 5th graders. The Mother Lode River Center- Gracefully nestled into a canyon of extraordinary beauty, our Outdoor Education Program and Whitewater trips offer a unique blend of play and challenge next to the sparkling currents and eddies of California's most popular whitewater river. Hamlin Winter-Spring-Summer Camps offers kids the opportunity to explore San Francisco recreational resources using public transportation. YMCA Camp Jones Gulch High Adventure programs provide youth, grades 6 through 12 with exciting opportunities to build character and self-esteem, set and achieve goals and develop healthy relationships with others. Youth will make new friends and gain an understanding of teamwork and leadership. Participants learn "low-impact" camping skills and cultivate an appreciation of the natural environment around them as they travel through Californias most beautiful wilderness. Trips begin and end at several YMCA of San Francisco branches, and are led by trained wilderness and activity experts. StonestownYMCA offers an Extreme Teens program: Extreme Teen weeks are designed for youth entering 7th through 9th grades.Programs focus on getting into the community and out of the traditional camp feeling. Mountain Mill House Outdoor Center is a non profit camp located on Mt. St. Helena, just above Calistoga. We offer outdoor education programs and adventure challenge courses for elementary and junior high school students. Our camp is set on a 220 acre parcel of beautiful, forested land on Mt. St. Helena. We have miles of hiking trails, streams, and a pond . There is a historical building built in 1880, and historic silver, and mercury mines. We incorporate the natural history and surroundings into our Outdoor Education programs. Our ropes course is incorporated into our Outdoor Education programs, certain groups come up specifically to work on the adventure challenge course. We hold our own summer camps. Memories of a lifetime" On the north shore of Lake Tahoe, a non-traditional, coed residence wilderness camp with newly built lodge, offering one and two week sessions for children 10 to17. Over 100 activities with emphasis on team building, self-esteem and confidence through: exploring nature, hiking and overnight camping, rafting calm and white-water, rock climbing, trail and mountain biking, swimming, non-competitive sports including fun, adventure and excitement. Aspiring Heights Youth Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking Camp Philosophy: Aspiring Heights has been offering programs for youth rock climbers and mountain bikers for the past five years. The Climbing Camps were created to assist young people in making a transition from climbing indoors to climbing outdoors and expanding their outdoor experiences. The Mountain Bike Camps give youth the opportunity to ride on fabulous trails and improve their riding technique. Our programs provide proper safety techniques, professional climbing and biking instruction, environmental conservation, an appreciation of the outdoors, and most of all, fun.
