Introduction to Sailing
With the wonderful sailing possibilities available to us in the Monterey Bay, no summer would be complete without a few lessons on the fundamentals of sailing. We'll be sailing small plastic sailboats that are almost as cool to look at as they are to sail. In the safe north harbor of Moss Landing we'll learn such basics as rigging, terminology, proper clothing, and some fundamental points of sail. The emphasis, as always, will be on fun, with games and races rounding out the days' instruction. $20, plus equipment fee of $40. Call ahead for reservations (Minimum class size: 3, Maximum: 6).
